Greetings, my name is Ashley Olsson, Managing Director of Olsson AG, another Olsson Family owned and operated entity.

The Olsson name has been well recognised within the Australian rural sector as a trusted name in agricultural products for decades.

My Grandfather, Norman Olsson, was one of the first producers of the “hard pressed” cattle supplement block, which he produced in a little shed at West Parramatta, in 1949. From that time on the Olsson’s name was forged, by Norman and his two sons Charles and Malcolm, into one of the most trusted names in animal nutrition in Australia.

The original property, located in Goulburn NSW, on which Norman and his sons conducted many of their animal nutrition trials, is now our family home. So now my sons and I have used the same property to develop this patent pending world first in fencing technology - CLIPEX™.

Where It All Started

I was driving home one day, and I saw an old “cocky” struggling to pull down an old rusty fence. As I passed him by, I prayed and said – “God, there’s got to be a better way to do fencing?” – Without thinking anymore about my plea, I continued to drive towards home. However, just before reaching my front gate I saw a picture in my mind, of something I had never seen before, a vivid picture of a simple slot and keeper in a fence post. I thought, “Wow that looks simple”. As soon as I arrived home I got a pencil and paper and sketched what I had envisaged. I showed my boys and we said, “wow, this could actually work”. That was the genesis of the CLIPEX™ revolution.
